 Our Students

Adelfiha's Christian Academy
is committed to train and educate children to understand life as started in God's word. Pro. 22:6 instructs us "to train up a child in the way he should go, so that when he is old he will not depart from it." Students are instructed in the truth of God's word in every area so that their lives may be transformed by the renewing of their minds.

At Adelfiha, we place particular emphasis on having a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, while developing Christian character in our students, promoting excellence in academic and personal integrity.

BEHAVIOR GUIDANCE
As educators we believe that children must be disciplined in a positive manner at a level appropriate for their age. When disciplining a child, we are sure to bring forth the Christian approach. Our staff will encourage the child to verbalize his/her feelings rather than striking out at friends or staff. Staff will outline other options that the child has in making these decisions. If the child continues to have difficulties, then the child will be redirected to a different activity. If the problem continues, the child will be removed from the group and placed in his/her own space for a short time out. The child will then be spoken with again and allowed to rejoin the group when he/she is ready and capable of managing in a group environment.

Indeed our aim is to foster and encourage behavior that is pleasing to God and others, while at the same time helping the child to achieve self-discipline and a sense of responsibility.

Staff members are consistent and are aware of each child's needs. Where problem situation are anticipated, staff will attempt to intervene and maintain a peaceable environment.

CONSEQUENCES

Consequences for failure to meet or comply with these expectations will vary depending on the student and the nature of the issue. The staff at Adelfiha will intervene in a fair, consistent manner and treat each incident as an opportunity for the student to learn and grow, in a Christ-like manner.
